’S e iomairt inntrigidh fhosgailte aig roinn na Ceiltis is na Gàidhlig aig Oilthigh Ghlaschu a th’ ann an Clò Gàidhlig Oilthigh Ghlaschu (CLOG).

Chaidh CLOG a stèidheachadh ann an 2020 agus tha e ag amas air inntrigeadh an-asgaidh air loidhne gun chuingeachadh a sholarachadh airson sgrìobhadh sgoilearach is neo-sgoilearach ann an Gàidhlig no mu dheidhinn na Gàidhlig – an cànan is a litreachas agus a co-theacsa sòisealta, cultarach is eachdraidheil.

Foillsichidh CLOG dà iris-leabhar acadaimigeach a tha air an lèirmheas le seisean: Aiste. Rannsachadh air Litreachas Gàidhlig / Studies in Gaelic Literature, and Journal of Scottish Name Studies.

Foillsichidh CLOG monografaichean ùra air am breithneachadh le seisean ann an Gàidhlig no mu dheidhinn na Gàidhlig.

Dh’fhoillsich Roinn na Ceiltis Oilthigh Ghlaschu 29 leabhraichean ann an Gàidhlig no mu dheidhinn na Gàidhlig eadar 1965 agus 2020. Bha leabhraichean ùra bàrdachd is ficsean ruisg agus stuthan foghlaim nam measg agus, o chionn ghoirid, rannsachadh acadaimigeach. Chan eil mòran de na leabhraichean seo ann an clò tuilleadh. Fhad ’s a tha riaghailtean na còrach-lethbhreac agus cùisean eile a’ leigeil leinn seo a dhèanamh, tha sinn a’ cur romhainn gun tèid am foillseachadh a-rithist air-loidhne air CLOG.

A bharrachd air sin, bidh CLOG na ùrlar airson brosnachadh na Gàidhlig agus rannsachadh na Gàidhlig aig Oilthigh Ghlaschu. Tha seo a’ toirt leis:

DASG: Dachaigh airson Stòras na Gàidhlig

sreath de làraichean-lìn ainm-eòlach

tràchdasan rannsachadh maighstireachd PhD

Sgeul na Gàidhlig aig Oilthigh Ghlaschu

Clò Gàidhlig Oilthigh Ghlaschu (CLOG) is the Open Access publishing initiative of the University of Glasgow’s subject area Celtic and Gaelic.

Founded in 2020, CLOG’s aim is to provide free, unrestricted, online access to scholarly and other writing in and about Gaelic – the language and its literature, and its social, cultural, and historical context.

CLOG publishes two peer-reviewed academic journals: Aiste. Rannsachadh air Litreachas Gàidhlig / Studies in Gaelic Literature, and Journal of Scottish Name Studies.

CLOG also publishes new peer-reviewed academic monographs in or about Gaelic.

Between 1965 and 2020, the University of Glasgow’s Department of Celtic published 29 books in or about Gaelic. This included original works of poetry and prose fiction, as well as educational materials and, latterly, academic research. Most of these books are now out-of-print. Where copyright and other considerations allow, it is intended to make these available through CLOG.

In addition, CLOG acts as a portal to further Gaelic and Gaelic-related research at the University of Glasgow. This includes:

DASG: Digital Archive of Scottish Gaelic

a suite of onomastics databases

PhD and research Masters theses awarded by the University of Glasgow on Gaelic and Gaelic-related topics

Sgeul na Gàidhlig aig Oilthigh Ghlaschu / The Gaelic story at the University of Glasgow.
